A world-exclusive dramatic reading of Tony Earnshaw’s brand new novel on 10 October 2019 at 7pm presented by Damn Cheek and The White Horse Hotel.
A White Horse one-off special Dinner Theatre event – an evening of exquisite food spent with five characters, an author, and music – along with the opportunity to purchase a signed copy of the novel at a reduced rate exclusive to The White Horse!
In this exciting and unique event, local writer Tony Earnshaw – alongside a stellar cast, and Greensand providing music – hosts an evening of dramatic readings from his novel.
Blessed Assurance tracks the lives, beliefs and relationships of childhood friends Tom and Pete, who become very different Anglican priests, and of Anne and Liza, the sisters they marry.
Exploring marital stresses and expectations, the place of faith in an increasingly rootless world to the fate of independent investment firms in the city, we follow the story of Tom’s development from teenage Christian radical to liberal theologian; from love-struck student to maturity; and his search for a meaningful faith in the 21st century.
The cast includes Darren Cheek, Debbie Christie and William Elliot – as well as playwright and performer Maria McAteer-Dahlberg. Music by Greensand.
