As a continuation of our collaborative approach to raising awareness about environmental issues, pupils attending primary and secondary schools in and around Dorking have been taking part in a Trees, Nature and Wellbeing poster competition.

The brief was to design a poster about looking after our trees and nature –
essential action which is good for both our wellbeing and the planet’s.

The competition is yet another legacy project of Passion for the Planet – Damn Cheek’s compelling, thought-provoking and immersive show that took place last autumn at the Friends Meeting House in Butter Hill, Dorking. The production invited involvement and interaction from over 400 local school children.

The poster competition was organised by our good friends and massive supporters Circular Dorking,
along with the equally brilliant Judith Packer and Keith Stride.
It also links with Circular Dorking’s celebrations of Great Big Green Week in June 2024.

Read this brilliant blog post about the project by Circular Dorking’s Helen Shiers, featuring photos of the beautiful artwork (like the images on this page).
